5 травня відбувся захід в рамках відзначення Дня пам’яті та примирення з нагоди 70-ї річниці перемоги над нацизмом у Європі та завершення Другої світової війни.
Учасники заходу вшанували подвиг українського народу, його визначний внесок в перемогу Антигітлерівської коаліції у Другій світовій війні та висловили повагу усім борцям проти нацизму хвилиною мовчання, а також презентували свої доповіді щодо історії, символів та особливості відзначення Дня пам’яті та примирення в різних країнах світу.
Захід організовано доцентом кафедри міжнародної економіки А.В. Рабошук та студентами 4-го курсу групи ОА-72, які поглиблено вивчають професійну англійську мову.
Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance was held on 5 May. The students and academic staff of the Faculty commemorated those who lost their lives during World War II and all Ukrainians who fought for Ukraine’s independence with a Minute of silence.
The students presented their speeches in English on the history of the Remembrance Day and the peculiarities of its celebration throughout the world; on the Symbol of Remembrance Day – the Poppy flower. Declamation of the poem “In Flanders Fields” – the most popular and most quoted poems from the war, written in English – was as well performed by the students.
The participants of the event commemorated those who lost their lives during World War II and all Ukrainians who fought for Ukraine’s independence with a Minute of silence.
